我们怎么了 – S.H.E
Recorded on 13 March 09

Happy Birthday Shir! – edited

March 29th, 2009 Posted 3:02 am

**EDITED**: FORGET TO THANK LI YI, SHU NING(did I miss out anyone) for the hot milo from Mcdonald. 爱心milo makes me feel better during service.

Today after service, went down to shir’s birthday party. Before I continue, I want to give myself a pat on the shoulder. Because after Caregroup Sports Day on thursday, my muscle starts aching. A normal person with the right sense of mind will wear comfortable shoe, preferably flats. But, I have been wearing heels. Oh dear, I realise that the shoes I have are heels. I cant possibly wear slippers right?

Ok, back to Shir birthday. I waited for Sher and Claris at the bus stop near Shir’s house and wrote the bday card. The SJC were back again after a super long time. Then, we headed to Shir house. Then I saw familiar faces greeting us at the gate. It’s my CCA juniors. They are my “children” and I’m their “mummy”. In total, I should have 20+ “sons” and “daughters”. So glad to see them at the party and cam-whoring session started.

When did I become MUMMY?

[回到過去]  I was their Sectional leader for a year(may06-may07). Wow.. I really miss the time we spent together, especially during the preparation of SYF competition. I had to lead my section, conducting the competition pieces again and again, perfecting them. Our CCA was divided into two sections. So, hand in hand, both shir and I led both our sections together. I will never forget the memorable times I led my section for sectionals, trying hard to say some cold jokes to make my members relax, all the naggings and reminders of their mistakes, intensive training during our cca camp. There were times I joked with them, demanded them to come back for extra practices, a time when I was pranked by my juniors during cca camp. And there was a time, Shirley and I flooded the whole cca room. It was that time when I stepped down as Sectional Leader. Believe me, it’s really flooding. Shir went through the same thing as me together as leaders of our section, and she was the best to understand my feelings.

Ok, back to the party again. Shir asked Claris and I to sing cause she got karaoke system. Wow.. singing in the public to strangers?? We waited for Shir’s friends to start sing. Claris said if they sing not nice, we will go PK them. It was a good experience though. There was this guy(shir’s uni friend), he sang quite good. Yah, can get to know them and make friends  to jio to sing karaoke one day.

After Shir’s party, Im tempted to execute my Project twenty0ne.

Caregroup Sports Day

March 27th, 2009 Posted 10:20 am

Early in the morning, I woke up and get all ready for caregroup sports day. I was really afraid that mummy wont let me go out. Every time I go out, she will ask me a lot of questions – go out with who? which friends? what time coming home? I managed to change topic whenever she ask me something that I do not know how to answer. I reached there on time, followed by Justin and Shawn. So we went to buy drinks for the caregroup and went to find the rest at Mcdonald.

When we reached the courts, we played Captain’s ball, then basketball. Woohoo.. Super high when it comes to basketball. Angel Carrie taught me some basics. I like 斗牛要不要 than 篮球火 cause got Mike He. Overall, I had a wonderful (but tired) day.

My computer disobeyed me

March 27th, 2009 Posted 12:34 am

For this whole week, I’ve been obediently following my revision schedule, doing the past year papers and tutorials. For this whole week, Im a nerd, studying at home and doing nothing else. In between breaks, I helped to do housework. Exercise! I’ve been helping my mum do housework ever since I stopped working. Im planning to go back to the working world again during my 3 months holiday. Hopefully I can get a job then.

Last saturday, I received his sms. I finally received his reply. Im really happy that he contacted me.

This week, I didnt have the chance to see Gong Gong. Wonder how is he. Anyway, we got a maid for him to take care of him after he is discharged. But for now, I really do not know how long he needs to stay. I think the medical expenses will be a bomb.

Recently, I dont know what happened to my computer. Everytime I start my com, it will show me either this error “CPU is unworkable or has been changed. Please recheck CPU Soft Menu” or “CMOS checksum error – Defaults loaded”. Initially, I thought my com was infected with virus. Everytime when I log into windows, the date and time is 01 Jan 2004 and 00:00. So I asked er ge and he told me his laptop was like that when he got virus. So, I went to reformat my computer. Not once, not twice but THRICE. (for some stupid reason..long story) i went to google it and find out how to solve the problem. In the forum, they taught me to pull out the jumper from the motherboard and place it in again. So for the whole evening today(27 Mar09), I meddle with my CPU. Took the chance to clear the dust off. I think my CPU is super cool – blue light emitting out from the alien face. I bought it 5 years ago.

But in the end, after removing the jumper and replacing it again, the error still occurred. Then my aunt told me that it’s because of the CMOS battery. Just changed the battery will do. *abish*

Yesterday (25 Mar 09), went town to get present for boyfriend shir for 21st party this saturday. This month super broke. Two weeks ago, was Mag’s 21st. This week, Shir’s. Next week, CJ’s. Claris, Sherlynn and I shared shir’s present. I got it from Body Shop. And my favourite shower gel was on sale.. and yesterday was the last day. It costs $12.90 for one bottle of shower gel. Now it’s $14.90 for two. But in order to get Body Shop’s membership, I bought two more bottles(which makes up 4). I love Passionfruit one. Very sweet and nice. I got my first bottle as my birthday present from Da Ge.

Personality Test – What does being a friend really mean to you?

March 23rd, 2009 Posted 12:56 pm

Source: Nori@Flickr

You value your friendships: 55%

You love your friends very much – so much so that it’s actually quite a worry. You may not be able to cope very well when you do lose somebody’s friendship. (Ya. This is super true. I cannot handle myself, control my feelings when I lost a friend. I depended on my own strength instead of God’s strength. After losing some friends, I tend to protect myself by not making too deep friendships with people) You are a very sensitive and fragile(I tried to be strong but the more I do it, the more I realised that actually im weak) person, and are therefore likely to get upset easily. You care for your friends and are willing to do anything that they ask you to do. Sometimes this can make your friends think that you are a bit of a nuisance. (Oh really?? Do you think the same too?) Nevertheless, people do really love you because your highest priority is your friends. (Yeah man. I think I cherish friends more than my family..But why is it 55% only?!?!)

Mr Curry – Japanese Curry and Sweet House

March 21st, 2009 Posted 12:28 pm

It(20 March 09) was a night spent with fab gang and good food. It’s simply WOOHOO~

Yesterday evening, met up with some of my ex-colleagues for dinner gathering. The last time I saw some of them was the Halloween Party held at my boss’ house. Today, 7 of us gathered together at Clarke Quay. We were supposed to have vegetarian dinner at Melleo’s Place since one of our friends is vegetarian. But then, when we called for reservation, the line wasnt in use. So not to risk ourselves to walk all the way from Clarke Quay to Angus Street, we decided to settle our dinner at Mr Curry – Japanese Curry and Sweet House.

At Mr.Curry, you will get to choose four types of curry – Original Sauce, Red Sauce (tomato base), Black Sauce (fish base) or White Sauce (cream base). All of us chose Original Sauce as it’s highly recommended. Diners can choose the different sets available at Mr. Curry – Deep Fried Curry, Stewed Curry Set, Standard Curry, Meat Curry, Omelette Curry, Soup Curry Set and Spaghetti Curry Set. To know more about the food at Mr. Curry, click here for menu.

We reached Mr Curry at around 730pm and we waited for the seats for like 1hr 45min? We were only ushered in to our seats only at 845pm. Super long. While waiting, the staff offered us complimentary drinks – Apple Soda or Coca Cola.

While queueing, we’ve already decided what to eat. Luckily the food served not too long after we sat down.

Deep Fried Salmon & Cheese Curry Rice ($14.80)
The first few bites were ok. But the more you eat, the more you will get sick of it. I think is because it is deep fried and with cheese!
Ratings: (out of 5 stars)

Hamburg Steak Curry Rice ($14.80)
I felt that there’s cheese inside the Hamburg… or is it the after-taste of the Salmon Cheese? But I find that it is nice. Jia Yi had this and she commented that she felt sick after some time.
Ratings: (out of 5 stars)

Vegetables Omelette Curry ($12.80)
Are you a vegetarian? You can actually try this. Emily tried this and she finished all..
Ratings: (out of 5 stars)

Chicken and Mushroom Curry Risotto ($12.80)
Lynn tried this. She rated this 3 because of the long waiting hour. Anyway, the curry for Risotto seemed to be spicier than the original curry.
Ratings: (out of 5 stars)

Salmon and Spinach Curry Spaghetti ($12.80)
Ah Hong Jie jie had this. waiting for comment and ratings
Ratings: TBC(out of 5 stars)

Shrimp Cutlet Curry Rice ($14.80)
Phyllis tried this. She said it’s SHOIK!
Ratings: (out of 5 stars)

Strawberry Cake ($3.80)
We were comparing this strawberry cake with our fingers. It is 1.5 index-finger-long.
Ratings: (out of 5 stars)

Strawberry Parfait ($8.80)
This is good for people with sweet-tooth. But not me. Overall, I dont like their dessert. When the desserts came to us, they were on-the-verge of melting. What’s happening?!
Ratings: (out of 5 stars)

Mango Parfait ($8.80)
Ratings: (out of 5 stars)

W.Cone Parfait ($9.80)
Ratings: (out of 5 stars)

Personality Test – What’s your personality love style?

March 21st, 2009 Posted 1:57 am

You desire a love that will last forever. You are quite serious about finding this type of love, and that’s why you think carefully about the men that you meet before deciding whether you could really love them. You don’t just develop a crush on someone overnight: you look at a person’s personality and other aspects of their life before deciding to form an attachment. If a guy doesn’t meet your expectations, you would rather be alone. Your love has to be perfect. Be careful though, you could be missing out on some worthy relationships because your standards are so high.

Personality Test – Get to know yourself better

March 16th, 2009 Posted 11:44 pm

I got to do a series of personality test and feel like sharing with all of you. This is really true man!

Your view on yourself:
Other people find you very interesting, but you are really hiding your true self. Your friends love you because you are a good listener. They’ll probably still love you if you learn to be yourself with them.
(YEAH YEAH! I agree with the hiding your true self. So.. do you really know me?)

The type of boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don’t judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren’t necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people’s eyes.
(HAHA.. cannot find too good-looking de, cause many girls out there will be preying for him. Jie Lun is my IDEAL. I like guys who are like Jie Lun. :X Singing, play bball, 1.73m and above, MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM-cos i dont know and he can save me)

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.
(DUH.. of course lar. If you dont know the person well, how you know if he is THE ONE?)

The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.
(But Jay is not dating me leh..:X)

Your views on education:
Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.

The right job for you:
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don’t focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.
(Eh.. I got only one dream job leh.. SINGER!)

How do you view success:
Success in your career is not the most important thing in life. You are content with what you have and think that being with someone you love is more than spending all of your precious time just working.
(YEAH YEAH!! To be with the one you love is the happiest moment)

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don’t ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.
(I think I am stubborn. I want people to be there for me, comfort me, but I dont really tell them I need them actually)

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.
