Live Performance of 你最珍贵

Finally got back the peace after hours of terrible induction of hokkian songs…

I’m back and bad. Haha.. just came back from the family gathering at my aunt’s house. Im not looking forward to this gathering cos of the not-so-tempting karaoke system. It wasnt user-friendly. I managed to sing some of the songs and fled away from the function room. My aunties, uncles were singing not-my-era songs and I totally cannot tolerate. They kept saying last song last song.. so, their last song lasted from 9pm to 10pm.  

I managed to record some of the songs my er ge sang. One of the clips below is a duet song I sang with him. Check out more songs from my imeem or facebook. The another song is sang by himself – Ling Chen San Dian Zhong. The quality of the clip is super bad bcos it was recorded in an echoy function room.

Loving Day!

WOOHOO~~ HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY, JIE LUN!

Today was a loving day (though there were some unhappy events in the middle)! I was rushing the valentine’s day gift that I prepared for my CG and ex-unit. This is a handmade bookmark. I cut out the shape of heart and pasted on the strip of cardboard thingy. I took me two nights to do it. In total, I’ve made 31 of them. They were for the following people: Jesline, Sharon, Shawn, Li Yi, Elaine, HanYun, Kezia, Lin Huan, Jie Ai, Michelle, JunYao, Carrie, Maurise, Benson, BenTay, Alex, Jolene, ShuNing, Justin, Liping, Swee Leong, Edmund, MinChen, XinYi, Ian, MingHan, Hui Li, Nicholas, Nicole, Calyn, Crystal. I miss my ex-unit very much!!! I love each and everyone of them. MUACKS!

Besides making bookmark, I made something for 3 very special people. They are my LOVINGS! They are Jesline, ShuNing and JunYao. Actually, our CG was playing this angel and mortal game. So, the mortal can make three wishes they want their angel to do for them. So, I saw my LOVINGS’ wishes and accomplished one wish for each. For Jesline, she wanted sunflower. But I couldnt find sunflower, so I drawed a very nice sunflower on a piece of A4 paper. And I think Jesline is going to paste it on her desk. I will show you my drawings when Jesline took the picture. For ShuNing, she wanted her angel to sing her a song. So, I asked her what songs she want her angel to sing. So, these was her song list: Tong Hua, Dai Wo Zou, Tu Ran Hao Xiang Ni. So, I recorded Tong Hua and Tu Ran Hao Xiang Ni for her. Imagine this, you are recording this at 3am when you do not want to scare your family members who are sleeping with your singing. HAHA.. Luckily today when they woke up, they didnt say anything . For JunYao, he was my mortal too!! So, I bought him his favorite Hershey’s Cookies and Cream Chocolate. And yeah.. because of this cookies and cream chocolate, I finally got my first 2 hello kitty stamps. WAHAHA.. Super fun. Then, for the LOVING part, I bought him Luo Han Guo drink.

And guess what? My intuition is right! My angel is CARRIE!! You can click here to view my analysis. But my angel did not fulfil my wishes. She gave me a pink heart-shaped balloon. 

Feel abit sian now cause for the past few days, beside being my mortal’s angel, I played a role called “everyone’s-random-angel”. Everyday I will sms my cg mates some random things like “hey..how are you..” , “while we are busying rushing our projects, assignments, tests, quizzes, exams, REMEMBER that GOD IS WITH YOU ALL THE TIME! JIA U!“. So I thought everyone wouldnt know it’s me. So I tried very hard to disguise myself. But I think for the first few days, some already guessed that everyone’s-random-angel is me. Should let me know earlier.. then I will not be so headache of disguising myself. HAHA. I think I got a lot of trademarks for people to trace me.

1. My 加油 isnt spelt as JIA YOU but it’s JIA U.
2. My pet phrase/words is “Woohoo”, “Oh Man”, “Hey peeps”, “Hey everybody”

Slept quite late recently that I got migrane and today service was worst. OH MAN.. and I had a super bad nightmare this morning and luckily I woke up by the vibration of my phone. after service, our cg went to Arab Street to have exotic dinner. 

We were really high lor. Joked a lot and laugh a lot. There were 11 of us there and I looked up the sky and counted 11 stars. Okay, I know what’s my last wish for my angel le. I wanna watch stars with her, on the mat. Woohoo..  In the midst, I received calls from HOME. Whenever I see this word “HOME” flashing on my phone, you can see my happy face becomes pissed-off face. Cause my mum will call and ask me to go home(when it was 9pm only?). Okay. I think she worried for me because the walkway from mrt station to my house is a bit deserted and there’s a lot of foreign workers at the voiddeck. Yesterday night was scary. My void deck suddenly became a gathering for foreign workers. 

So, I’ve come out a conclusion to stop my mum from worrying for me and for me not to feel pissed off again. (but.. every points is so lame..)

1. Move my house to mrt control station so that I do not need to walk the dark walkway.
2. Have a whistle as necklace so that I can use it during emergency time.
3. Have a chauffeur who drives me to my block

Anyway, if u do not know, I will be changing my wordpress theme again. What you are seeing now is what I used last year. I used this wordpress theme because of Vday. And now that Vday is over. I will be changing it soon.

101 Romantic Ideas

Valentine’s Day is coming. How are you going to spend it with your loved ones? Guys, if you have no ideas how you want to spend the vday with your girlfriends, perhaps you could read my one year old blog entry. This was a mini survey done by myself to check what do girls like.

A month ago, Shuning sent me this pdf file and asked me which ones would I like. I’m supposed to blog this long ago to let her know. =x This is a 101 Romantic Ideas consolidated by Michael Webb, the founder of TheRomantic.com. These are all the 101 Romantic Ideas guys can use to please their girlfriends. Out of the 101 Romantic Ideas, I only like 9 of them. For some, I find that they are stupid. WAHAHA..

IDEA # 2
Buy a packet of glow in the dark stars and stick the stars on the roof above your bed to spell out a message such as “I Love You” When the lights go down, your message will be revealed!

IDEA # 3
On a special occasion, buy your partner eleven real red roses and one artificial red rose. Place the artificial rose in the center of the bouquet. Attach a card that says: “I will love you until the last rose fades.”

Have flowers delivered to your partner’s workplace. She will not only enjoy the flowers but will also receive comments and attention from her office mates which will add to her enjoyment.

Karaoke at my house

Yesterday, some peeps from my caregroup came to my house for karaoke. I was the DJ-in-the-house. Wahaha.. There’re so many songs to choose and I’m overwhelmed. In the end, I gave up and let other people to have the chance to sing. In the afternoon, Daddy drove me to the mrt to fetch Jesline and Junyao. I showed them my room and showed my hello kitty collection :satisfied: And showed them three baby photos and let them guess which one is my er ge, which one is me. Oh ya.. entering to my house, must follow my house rule. The house rule is the guests must drink my favourite drink. LEMON BARLEY DRINK (LBD)!! There’s a story behind the drink too =p

HanYun joined around 4 plus, Liping and Bentay came around 5 plus. Totally was a shock because I didnt expect bentay to come. cause he said he wanna rush his assignment. Then my bro reached home and accompanied junyao to sing (cos he was the only guy b4 that). We sang Cyndi Wang’s 爱你. The very act-cute song. I enjoyed being the audience, 看好戏 as I forced hanyun. junyao and jesline to do the ending pose at the end of the chorus. ROFL!! Will show it to you guys again here when the videos are uploaded.

If you want to come my house sing karaoke, I can supply electricity and resources what you need is to bring in your own snacks and water. Anyway, daddy is sourcing the karaoke system for my upcoming birthday bash. The plan is this – On my birthday, I will be busy cleaning up my house, preparing for the party. So I may need some manpower to help, and best friends will volunteer themselves. While they are helping out, they may feel tired. So, they can take a break by singing karaoke. I want to host my bday party at home because it’s cosier. I gauge my guests to be 100 plus. But my house is soo small, so i will either do the party in shift.. or cut down people. Wah.. so excited.. Will tell you more about my bday party plan next time.

You maybe wondering what’s the scary thing that I’m talking about. It’s my family outing to other people’s family gathering. It’s a thing that I argued with my parents this week. Totally cannot understand why they are doing this. During service yesterday, I was super vexed. So I just poured out everything to God. If you’re seeing me wearing cap, there’s only two reason. Either the weather is too hot and I need a cap, or I just want to act cool and use the cap to hide all eye contacts. Yesterday was the latter.

Luckily, I have my lovings and shepherd with me to comfort me. As my er ge got meeting, he could not join the family outing. How i wish he was here and at least we can go for a sweet escape with my da ge. The journey to that place was disastrous. I wasnt in a good mood at all plus we could not locate the place..the place is super messy with limited parking lots.. and we almost got into 2 car accidents. (that’s the reason why I didnt take up driving lessons. It’s either I go learn motorbike or wait for people to drive me in their cars)

So, I smsed my er ge and told him the story and asked him to pray for me..pray that my heart will be calm and be open towards the party. I was on the verge of breaking down.. I covered my ears from all the noises around me and prayed and prayed.

When I was at the party, I felt super out of place. So I finished my dinner and moved myself to a spot. I was much calmed down there with the sea breeze. The scenery was not that bad. I got stars and moon with me. When I was much okay, I managed to do some reflections and walked around at the beach.

Back home, when I was about to sleep, I received an sms from my er ge. I felt so shocked when he called me by my name. But when I further read on, it was from my angel. My angel uses my bro as the “love” messenger to send sms to me. This is Angel-and-Mortal game we played with our caregroup members. This is soo exciting. I’m trying to guess who is my angel.

1. So now, at least i know that my angel knows my brother and my brother knows the angel quite well(if not, she/he wouldnt have ask my bro to help her/him. So, my angel could be carrie, jesline, maurise, junyao, shuning, liyi, liping, hanyun, bentay).
2. I think my angel is a “she”. Cause the sms sounds like it’s from a girl. (So, the brothers are out)
3. My angel does not have unlimited sms as her sms is in short form (so, it is not maurise)

Okay.. I will let you know if my intuition is correct on 14 Feb 2009 when we revealed our identity.

Agitated..

..a word i described my week so far.

Remember my new year resolutions I wrote on the first week of the new year? I have been working hard to achieve what I’ve written.
 

I think I am a PRO without a “P”, meaning, I cannot be PRO yet. I tried to change my attitude towards my parents, to be more loving and patient to them. I think this week, I have a lot of disagreements with them. First, I tried to tell my dad to “upgrade” himself by learning some skills, or change some of his attitude. Then, he will give me the angry look like “Hey..you are my daughter..why are you commanding me to do things?” But I just want them to upgrade themselves.   

I’m agitated because I disagree with my parents for certain things. From young, our parents interfere(or a nicer word, care) our lives. When we’re young, they troubled whether they have enough food for us. Then, they worry if we are doing well in our studies, then our love lives, then our career. I disagreed with what they are doing. Why must our parents interfere in our love lives? Are our parents choosing bf/gf for us? or are they choosing for themselves? We are old enough to control our lives. Why must they chap into our lives when we have our own plans? I dont feel like going for the gathering this saturday. I scared I cannot take it and just bang the table and walk away.. ARGHX..

This week is really a mess for me. So many problems surfacing – studies, family, health, money. But I’m sure my God is always there for me when I’m facing all these problems. JIA U!!

Today morning, went SMU to study with junyao. Really thank God for this loving brother and the time we spent for fellowshipping and studying together :). I msged sher and she was in school. So, she came to look for me! So happy to see her. It’s through God’s grace that our friendship is restored again. We had miscommunications last year april and stopped contacting to each other. It’s like a very close friend whom you talk to everyday, suddenly disappear. But.. God is good that He softened both our hearts and both of us(amazingly) took down our pride and started to initiate a conversation last year november.

After that, got shepherding. Loving Shu Ning then joined Junyao and I for dinner. Shu Ning is Loving-Number-1, I’m Loving-Number-0, and junyao is loving-wannabe.. HAHA.. Sounds cute right?

During caregroup, I wasnt feeling well. The room just made me sick. We had prayers caregroup and I enjoyed it. THUMBS UP TO HANYUN!!  

After caregroup, straight away received phone call from my mum. Scoldings and naggings as usual. She scolded me for coming home late(like 10 plus?) So in the end, I managed to ask my bro to drive me back from the mrt. HAHA..I used my bro as a shield. Two of us are working together..as christians in the family. So, have to help each other and minimise the scoldings.. HAHA..

Oh ya.. u know why my mum is angry for hanging out late? It’s because lately, there are many foreign workers under my block, around my estate. :Scary: la.. So for me, if I see them, I will act strong and tough. Walk fast and confidently, change my facial expression to a fierce one. So they wont come and disturb me. And the walkway from the mrt to my house, there’s snake.. And the snake is dancing snake! It’s thin, curling up together and JUMPS! I witnessed it on monday! It was super scary when the snake jumped out from the grass and to the pathway.. EEeee…

Anyway, wanna thank those friends who are with me lately, supporting me – Shu Ning, my shepherd, Justin and Junyao.. Arigato.. Thanks thanks.. keep me in prayers can liao
