Last week, my colleague from UK came over Singapore. I was really very excited long before she arrives Singapore. We’ve been talking over the phone and emailing one another about work. And finally I got to see her face to face (no need to guess too much how she look like). I’m excited to see her one thing is also she is my first colleague/friend from overseas. But sad to say, I wasnt a good host as everyone was very busy with work.

For our first lunch, we brought her to an eatery (near Amoy Street Food Centre) which sells organic and vegetarian food. I ordered their Tom Yam Bee Hoon. It costs me $6+ but the proportion was quite small.

Back to work.As Jo’s trip in Singapore was short, everyone in my department was rushing our work, and with Jo’s expertise and experience, we managed to clear our queries and proceed on with the things we need to do. It was a busy week for my department. Jo was supposed to stay in Singapore for a short while, flying off on Wednesday. Tuesday, we had our mini meeting and sorting out some administrative stuff. After that meeting, I had an idea of an ideal gift to give to her. I decided to give her a notebook since she always bring a notebook with her everywhere she goes, reminding her the things to do for the day. Sher was supposed to meet me in the evening. So, I told her to buy a A4 notebook at Popular. After work, went to hunt for gift wrapping paper and some deco to go along with the notebook. Then we went to the networking session and only to managed to reach home at around 1230am. So, I hurriedly finish my decoration and off to bed.In the end, this is what I’ve done:

For the last day of Jo’s trip, we were supposed to have a better lunch-out with her. In the end, we called for a delivery from The Sandwich Shop. Definitely will miss Jo, and hope she will come back again to Singapore soon.
