Trashing things out.. Company S

Pardon me regarding the tone in the previous entry. I was angry and upset and didnt have enough rest these few days. This week is a hectic week. Slogged like mad when things are never going to finish.

Trashing things out..

Remember I said that I’m working day and night for 2 companies? At Company S, I hold a position as Sales Manager(sounds nice right.. but I’m doing every positions in this company). Everyday, there will be emails coming in to the main administration email account for Company S. And all the emails will be transfered to my own personal Company S email account. Then, I will sort out if it is regarding sales, technical support, billing enquiries. I have to answer all these funny questions people emailed and get back to them as soon as possible.

Problems faced in Company S

1. Inefficient reply from the staff: Since I wasnt trained to answer technical questions, I will need to consult the technical staff people. But precisely, no one answered to my email. Or.. they cant be bothered to check their inbox?
2. Insufficient manpower: I understand that Company S is a small enterprising firm. And we do no have enough funds to “employ” people. And yes.. I’m doing all these work in Company S for free cause I’m also helping out my friend who is serving National Service. We have a high cost maintenance. So, the small profit that we earned from the sales is not enough for my salary. I was once complained by a client due to the slow in response. I tried my best to reply every mails when I reached home after working in Company G, which is like around 10pm? Masses of emails sent by gan-jiong customers in the morning. Nobody is available to take over my position in the morning and I am the only one taking care of all the emails. Angry clients resulting angry me. Angry me = angry night = bad sleep = nightmare = lack of sleep = restless the next morning.

I am.. physically tired.. emotionally exhausted..

Different kind of people

So tired now. But just want to come here and vent my frustration. Cant stand some people who like to act(perhaps Mediacorp can ask them to be the part-time actors). In front of you, they are nice to you, smiling at you everytime you see them. But at your back, they are like devils and keep back-stabing. Their attitude towards people is just like flipping a page in the book. Somemore, when we ask them something, they tend to act blur, and push all the blame away.

Last saturday, finally had studio recording as I thought it was still early to go for service. In the end, I was late for service, and was ushered to sit behind. It was so awkward to sit with people I dont know. Somemore, it was my first time to be late, so I was abit blur of where should I go. But luckily I found my way out.

Ok.. got to go.. sorry for the brief entry. I am already dozing off.

Edison Chen, to quit HK entertainment industry.

No surprise for Edison’s decision in quiting HK entertainment industry. If not, what else can he do to resolve this problem? There is nothing else he could do to put this scandal to rest.

I started to like Edison when his movie- Twin Effect 1 was shown on the TV. In the movie, he was starring as Prince Kazaf- a very sweet and lovely guy.

This scandal started when Edison’s laptop was sent to repair. But more than a thousand photos were being hacked out from the laptop and are circulating on the Net. In all started on 27 Jan 2008 when various photos were posted on the Hong Kong discussion forum. This scandal involves the one and only male character- Edison and believed that there are 8 female celebrities. Gillian Chung(鍾欣桐) was one of the female celebrities. She was the first starlet to make public appearance at a CNY celebration on 11 Feb. She made a brief statement and apologised to people she has hurt by her silliness and naivety.

Yesterday, Edison announced to the public that he will be stepping down from the Hong Kong entertainment industry. After “hiding” away from the reporters, Edison finally made a press conference yesterday. One possible reason for him to come back this time as the scandal will not create a greater effect, diluted by the death of Lyndia Sum.

Today I have come back to Hong Kong to stand before you and account for myself. I have never escaped from my responsibility. During the past few weeks, I have been with my mother and my family and my loved ones to show support and care and at the same time to have them support and care for me.
I admit that most of the photos being circulated on the Internet were taken by me. But these photos are very private and have not been shown to people and are never intended to be shown to anyone. These photos were stolen from me illegally and distributed without my consent.

There is no doubt whoever obtained these photos have them uploaded on the Internet with malicious and deliberate intent. This matter has deteriorated to the extent that society as a whole has been affected by this. In this regard, I am deeply saddened. I would like now to apologize to all the people for all the suffering that has been caused and the problems that have arisen from this. I would like to apologize to all the ladies and to all their families for any harm or hurt that they have been feeling. I am sorry. I would like to also apologize to my mother and my father for the pain and suffering I have caused them during the past few weeks. Most importantly, I would like to say sorry to all the people of Hong Kong. I give my apology sincerely to you all, unreservedly and with my heart.

I know young people in Hong Kong look up to many figures in our society. And in this regard, I have failed. I failed as a role model. However, I wish this matter will teach everyone a lesson. To all the young people in our community, let this be a lesson for you all. This is not an example to be set for you.

During my time away, I have made an important decision. I will whole-heartedly fulfill all commitments that I have to date. But after that, I decided to step away from the Hong Kong entertainment industry. I have decided to do this to give myself an opportunity to heal myself and to search my soul. I will dedicate my time to charity and community work within the next few months. I will be away from Hong Kong entertainment industry indefinitely. There is no time frame.

I have been assisting the police since the first day the photos were published and I will continue to assist them. After this press con., I have obligation to help them with their investigation and hope that this case can end soon as everyone I think has the same wish.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank the police for their hard work on this case. Thank you. I believe everyone’s priority now (and) my priority now is to stop the suffering and pain, for not letting this…we do not want to let this situation become more out of control. We need to protect all the innocents and all the young from matters like this. In this regard, I have instructed my lawyers to do everything possible within the law to protect all the innocents, victims of this case. I believe that a press statement is being issued as we speak on what my lawyers have advised me to do.

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for coming here today and listening to what I have to say. I would like to also apologize once again to all the ladies and their families, my family and to everyone in Hong Kong and everyone in our society. I am deeply saddened by this. And I apologize to everyone (who) has to go through this. I would like to also thank you for giving me this opportunity to say what I have wanted to say all along in my heart.

I hope, after today, I can have your forgiveness. With regard to this case, with everything, everything that has happened, I am deeply sorry. I hope you all accept my apology and give me a chance.

So regarding to this matter, who do you blame? Edison? The IT person who took the photos and uploaded to the internet? The rest of the people who forwarded the photos to the rest of the Netizen?

Edison
Since he is a celebrity, the more he should be careful of how to handle things. As a celebrity, he should set a role model for the public, especially for the impressionable youngsters. He should take the whole responsibility of this saga since he was the one who created everything intially. If without the photos, such things will not even happen.

The IT person
That’s infringment of others’ privacy and should not be forgiven. Everyone has their own private lives. Celebrities are human too.. and they should have the right to have their private lives. Internet is so scary that it is a world-wide thing and such scandal photos have been circulating around at a speed like shooting stars. 

My letter to Edison:

Dear Edison,

It is no surprise that you announced to quit the entertainment industry, as there isnt any other ways for you to solve this problem. You are talented in singing and acting and should continue to stay in this industry. Although you are leaving the HK entertainment industry, there is still Hollywood and Bollywood waiting for you.

It’s a bird.. No.. It’s superman.. No.. It’s aeroplane.. It’s A380

Yesterday for some reason, I was at the event for the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Rolls-Royce Aero-Engine and Singapore Air Show. But sadly, I didnt stay there for long.

@ Singapore Air Show: When I was about to leave, I saw this aeroplane, moving slowly towards my direction. I asked Sheryl “Wow..I never see aeroplane that is soo big. Is it because it is coming towards me so it is big?” No wonder… It was the airbus A380.

Angela’s Live @ Singapore 2008

Angela is coming Singapore for her World Tour Concert at Singapore Expo Hall 5 on the 29th of March. Angela has a wide vocal range and has the talent to set her vocal style and image to music of various genres ranging from ballads to upbeat pop-rock tunes.

Personally, I admire her singing, her vocal strength. Do not underestimate her. Although she is a bit small size, but her vocal power is what other singers could not beat over. Last year, I attended her campus concert at NUS and it was great! Many people tried to imitate her yet no one can sing as well as her. Many of her songs are my all-time-favorite and I would sing when I go karaoke. Did a remix of her songs, but not very well done.. I’m will be in a Shut-down mood soon.. Enjoy.

Happy Valentine’s Day, Happy Colleagues’ Day

Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Colleagues’ Day to all staff working in Company G and Company S.

A weeks ago, I was thinking of getting something for my colleagues for this special day. Then, I already thought of making Chocolate Fondant, one for each colleagues. When the day was drawing nearer, this plan was unable to carry out cause I do not really have time to bake.

So, on Wednesday(13 feb), I designed this bookmark:

Normally in school, we treat Valentine’s Day as Friendship Day too. So, I thought of this idea of “Happy Colleagues’ Day“. After work, went to buy packets of Oreo biscuits. Wednesday night, started to mass-print the bookmarks on a nice-coloured paper.

Then, glued a light blue colored paper, then a dark blue colored paper so as to make the bookmark less flimsy. Then, cut the individual bookmarks out.

Colleagues’ + Valentine’s Day (14 Feb 2008)
Went to each desk and gave my colleagues the bookmark and the packet of Oreo biscuits. For the whole day, doorbells were ringing and everyone would pop up their head to see if it is people from the florist shop and see who is the lucky girl. The office ambience was so loving that really makes me relief work stress.After our lunch, this 3 sweet-loving people (Peter, Eddy and Thomas) bought the ladies flowers. So nice of them. THANK YOU, P.E.T Team! Bright colours brightens up my day.

After work, headed to PS to have dinner. What was inside the car in the morning..

Initially, the whole caregroup was supposed to meet up but in the end, there were only Calyn, Bro and I. So, we decided to meet people from other caregroup for dinner at Suntec- Kenny Roger.

After dinner, I was really very very tired and wanted to go home. But in the end, my brother “forbids” me from going home. I told him that if he is not going off so soon, I can take the train back home. But he doesnt allow me to do that as mummy may blame him for not going off early and sending me home. My face just turned black, but I didnt show my temper in the public.. control…control…. The night, I was super unpleased and frustrated.Reached home at around 1050pm, and after bathing was already 11 plus. Logged on to my computer and started to reply clients’ emails. In the end, I only managed to catch my sleep at 12 plus. I cant afford to stay outside too late as I still need to work when I get back home and I still need to wake up early the next day for work.

An unhappy event during this happy day

Today should be a happy day and with all kinds of happy things around us. I experienced that in the morning, but evening was like sh*t.

Super pissed off starting from 9:10pm. You can see my face turning black after his reply to me. From that moment, I wish there isnt any car to take care of my transportation back home so that I can have the excuse to leave earlier. But so sad, I just cant due to some stupid reason. Suddenly, i wish that there isnt any car.

Ending up, I reached home LATE and I have to work LATE and I will then sleep LATE. If you dont know why I still need to work at night, check out my daily schedule.

[Version5] Saint Valentine

Valentine’s Day is around the corner. I was inspired to make a WordPress theme suitable for this occasion.

First, get the background and the boxes drawn first. Then, insert the 3 different shapes of hearts to the sidebar.

Added a little pattern which I’m most satisfied with and I used it for one of my client‘s project.

Create the word “LOVE” with different sizes and shades.

But the banner was still too plain. So, I created heart shapes with retro colors. Then, added a few circles to create a movement from the flower pattern to the heart.

Added different shades of hearts to the main bar.

[Movie Marathon 1.5] 200 Pounds Beauty

I heard about the story of 200 pounds beauty before but have no time to watch it. Yesterday (CNY Day1), went to auntie’s house and managed to watch the movie. This movie is based on a Japanese manga, Kanna-San, Daiseikou Desu by Yumiko Suzuki. The story tells the tale about a large girl that undergoes an extreme makeover to become a pop sensation.

The story

An overweight phone sex employee, Kang Han-na (Kim Ah-jung) was also a secret vocalist for a famours Korean pop singer, Ammy. Han-na hides behind Ammy’s performance stage and sings during Ammy’s concerts, and records all of Ammy’s songs.

During the music company’s director Sang-jun’s (Ju Jin-mo) birthday party, Han-na overhears Sang-jun telling Ammy that they are just making use of Han-na for her voice. Heartbroken, Han-na contemplates suicide but is interrupted by a phone call from one of her phone sex regulars who happens to be a top cosmetic surgeon. She decides to get a head-to-toe makeover instead. Han-na puts herself in seclusion for a year as she recovers from the changes.

Han-na changed her identity as a Korean-American from California named Jenny, and earned her own recording contract. Meanwhile, romance begins to blossom between “Jenny” and Sang-Jun. But he then realised that “Jenny” is actually Kang Han-na.

So, will Sang-jun expose Jenny’s real identity? What will happen next? Watch 200 pounds beauty and you will know.
