I’ve been working since one week ago..and I have not recovered from flu. Panadol Cold was totally ineffective for my case. Everyday, I’m looking forward to learn new skills to learn and challenging tasks assigned for me. My workplace is like a training ground for me. I learnt how to use the softwares, use Microsoft Excel. I would make use of the time I have to learn as many things as possible. (..instead of slacking around and wait for the clock to tick to 6..in this case, life would be meaningless right? if want to slack, must as well stay at home to slack …)

Friday 11 Jan 2008
As usual, work work work. Ah Hong  Jie², Emily and I went Amara Hotel’s food court to have our lunch. Then, we bought fruit juice near Amara Hotel. This week is the “Nourishing Skin and Complexion” week for me. I ordered fruit juice that helps me maintain good complexion.

Last Friday(04/01/08).. I had.. Orange + Apple + Aloe Vera + Grape
XXX Day.. I had.. Banana + Melon + Honey + Aloe Vera
Friday (11/01/08).. I had… Cabbage + Apple + Lemon + Honey + Aloe Vera

After work, headed straight to City Hall. I organised a karaoke session for Jay2U members. The purpose of this meet-up was to gather people together..to know each other better before Jay’s concert which will be held next week. There were alot of people in City Hall, and it was a bit difficult to find someone you never see before. After a few calls, managed to gather everyone and we went Marina Square for dinner.

Karaoke was FUN! I anticipated people to snatch and hog onto the mic but everyone was too generous and let me have the mic myself. (I  singing. Singing is my passion..my life.. I love singing in the bathroom =X. I can hear my own echo.) But it wasnt my own “concert” after all. So, I shared the mic around with the other members. I wish that one day, I can be a singer at those music cafe like TheArk.

Saturday 12 Jan 2008
Finally, I have time for retail therapy. Awarded myself for my hard work this week with a pair of shoes. Then, returned home and arranged my shoe rack since CNY is around the corner. I have 13 different pairs of shoes!!  Helped mummy spring-cleaning. Then went to Nihon Mura for dinner. The ambience was great!

Initially, planned to do the web designing on saturday. But was too exhausted. In the morning, I was awakened up by a phone call. It’s about the web designing project. Will blog about the web desiging project in my next blog entry.

Remember the previous blog entry I posted about Jay Chou Concert in Malaysia. Today, I received a private message from the admin of Jay2u that they have used the banner I designed in their forum post. Read more here.

Yesterday came back home quite late after work. Only managed to have my dinner at around 10pm, before having a brief meeting with KS about the company handover. He told me to be prepared for many clients’ emails because a special promotion will be launched the next day. Luckily for now, I still can manage this well.

For the past 2 months(Nov and Dec), I’ve enjoyed slacking at home, watching VCDs, youtube-ING, design-ING. These were what I wished to do during my exam period. But after “slacking” for too long, life was really very boring. keep repeating the same thing..without doing something that is more meaningful. Called up the schools near my house to check if they need any relief teacher. I waited … waited and waited.. And there wasnt any news.

I hate the feeling of waiting. Somemore, I wasnt sure if the schools need any relief teachers. So, I decided to msg my cousin to see if she knows any company that needs part time worker. So, she told me about the job, and I went for the interview. This was my second job interview..my first office job..my first formal interview.

One day before my interview..

2. Talked to the mirror and imagined that I am in an interview =X

Thursday 3 Jan (Interview Day)
I thought I will mess up the interview.. I thought that I will be nervous and just mess the whole thing up. But in the end, I didnt. So proud of myself =) btw, im working as a finance adminstrator. That night, I was so excited that I couldnt sleep. =)

Friday 4 Jan (First Day)
Finally, I’m in the working class. When I reached Tanjong Pagar MRT station, I was totally SHOCKED ! I didnt know that there will be alot of people alighting here.

Alot of my friends are working in Tanjong Pagar too. Perhaps I can meet them after my work.

The first day of work was full of excitement and anxiety. I’m new to everything - the working place, the environment and everything. But, I’m slowly getting used of this. I enjoyed myself while working. I can learn new skills, make friends..

I was given a stack of papers to key into the computer. Although there was many things to key in, but I pushed myself to complete everything by one day. The sense of satisfaction and accomplishment I felt was something others may not feel that. I was supposed to meet my friends for a farewell dinner for the guys who are going NS. But, I was too engrossed with my work until I did not notice the time. By the time I finished my work, it was already 8pm.

Saturday 5 Jan
Continued to do whatever tasks that were given to me. Had lunch together with Ah Hong Jie jie before going back to office. Reached home in the evening. And msged KS about the company hand-over. KS going NS soon, and he will be handing over his company to me for the time being. So, I will be very busy starting next wednesday.

Daytime, I’m finance administrator.

Night time, I’m Sales Consultant + Technical Support + Billing Consultant.

Luckily, during my holidays, I visited the Data Center, get to know the whole operation. Learnt how to set up Reseller Hosting and Shared Hosting, domain name. What I’m worrying is the part on replying clients’ emails. Sometimes they will ask those really chim questions that I dont know how to reply.

Sunday 6 Jan
I think i am going fat soon. Eat..Work…Eat..Work…
Today is a very wonderful day. I received 2 tuition teaching requests which i was waiting since dont know when. Think will put tuition during weekends. =) ok. that’s all for today..
