For the past nights(from 24 Sept), i couldnt get to sleep. All thanks to the noise outside. Recently, the open field near my house is having “night activity”. Not clubbing or other stuff. But is all the “ling ling, long longs”, “king king kong kong”, “getai”, the loud music..Alot of times, i feel like complaining because the “night activity” sometimes lasted till 12am. It’s abit frustrating cause i’m a light-sleeper, easily awaken up
until there was a fire…

Today,my mum was shouting for me from the kitchen. She sounded anxious and serious. Getting out from the chair, i went to the kitchen and mum pointed to the ritual site at the open field. The fire was huge, and onlookers were just standing and 看热闹. Immediately, i dialled 995, but the line was engaged. So i called 999. This was my first time and i was told to describe the scenerio and the location. I sounded breathless as if i’m at the venue.

After 7 minutes, the firemen and ambulance came. Since it was two way single lane, and the big fire engine stopped at the road bent, causing a traffic jam and danger.

Our swift firemen managed to pull out the fire within the next 10 minutes. A woman was burnt.i will never forget the experience.. a witness for this incident.
