A purposeful and blessed life

Have you been living in a purpose-less life and at some peak of your life, you find that life is boring and you would wish something good will happen to you? There’s a saying goes “the future lies in your hands”. You can make or spoil your future and life in your own hands. Instead of sitting down in the cosy little chair, thinking “why am i so unlucky”, why not get up and do something about it?

On Wednesday, was chatting with Shirley about some problems that we both faced. It’s just like rainbow after the storm. After much perseverance, we survived and are doing good now.Why is it so? Cause we are thinking positively although it seemed to be like the end of the world. She told me that we were all blessed. Then, i told her this story.

Although it was somehow tough for me to adapt to the new environment, but i survived. Although sea current may be strong, but i will try my utmost best to swim ashore.

Adaptability is the key to success.

I think Adaptability is the best skill to succeed in life. Given a new environment, you will need to change your habits in order to mix well in the new environment. We have to be flexible and “elastic” to changes. For example, your company has a major change of people in the management. And the new boss is stricter and more demanding than your previous one. OBVIOUSLY you will need to listen to what the new boss says and follows what his instructions although you might not agree with him. Cause afterall, he’s your boss- your money tree. But if you cant adapt with the changes, you might get sacked.

I’m exceptionally happy when Santa Claus came and gave me alot of presents. Although it’s not december yet, but i got many many presents yesterday(24 may). Cousin Niko smsed me that she will be giving me her clothes as she needs to move house. And i thought it will be 1 or 2 bags of clothes. When Cousin Niko came, i was super shocked. It was not 1 or 2 bags, but was..

Quite a number of clothes are brand new. I have many things.. from clothes, to shoes, to gifts, to scented sticks, to earrings and necklance, to wires and beads for DIY jewellery. I think i can stop shopping this year. From the amount of beads and wires i got, i can set up a Jewellery E-shop. All along, i got this plan of setting up business online. But not now. Will do it after my major exams. Nice clothes which are unsuitable for me will be given away to friends.

Showcasing 1/8 stuff that I’ve got:

Today, we went PU Seminar at Raffles Marina. Adam Khoo was our speaker and talked to us about the Pathways to Success. I find it motivational and useful. At least from the talk, i learnt to plan for my future, the proper etiquette for Job Interview and the skills to write a good resume.

Early in the morning, i took the same bus to school. When i entered the double-decked bus, i saw a girl wearing sch uniform and no other people from my school. Actually, we were told to wear school top and jeans. When more and more schoolmates got up the bus, they gave me a strange look, “hey, why is this girl wearing pe tee with jeans“. To tell you the fact, i’m really damn scared that i remembered the wrong day to wear pe tee n jeans. Then, i hurriedly recall whether today is friday, and whether today i am suppose to wear this way. I was also thinking of going back home to change to my school uniform if today isnt the day. Then y hong msg me whether we are suppose to dress like that today. So, finally i was relieved that “hey. correct. today supposed to wear this way. I’m correct. Today is friday.”

It was a short journey from school to Raffles Marina at Tuas. For the whole session from 9-5, i ate 3 times. tea break- lunch- tea break. Life was like a tai-tai. It’s kinda tired of being tai tai. Once a week still okay. But it is like everyday, i dont think i can take it. Besides that, i will be horizontally challenged.

During lunch time, we went out for free boat ride. But when we reached the jetty, there wasnt any “free boat ride” as what our teachers told us. They cheated our feelings. So, i went to the bowling alley to see other schoolmates play bowling. We were entitled free bowling session. I didnt participate but supported sherlynn when it was her turn to play. After lunch, we went back to the ballroom to continue the session. We were told to plan our future- the courses we want to go, what kind of job we want, places to work at, salary etc.

After deep and quality time of thinking, i found out what i really want. From some of the courses i choose, i need to get good grades for my GP. But reviewing the progess of my GP, i dont think i can make it. But with belief and aspiration, i will make the IMPOSSIBLE to POSSIBLE. my friends, lets start dreaming of what we really want. Although you may think that it’s impossible to achieve, but setting such goals allows you to work hard and aim for the goal. We were also told to write down our passion, our talents.

On the way back school, the bus driver was travelling a longer distance back to school. Cause when we came to Raffles Marina from school, it took us around 20 minutes to reach. But way back school, we took more than that. Instead of using PIE back to school, the driver used AYE instead. Somemore, the AYE expressway was jammed. When we reached Jurong Town Hall Road, it was jammed too. Here jam there jam, everywhere is jam jam. Can someone buy a street directory for the bus driver uncle?

Today is also “Eat With Your Family Day” and also my mum and dad wedding anniversary. We had zhu2 chao3 together. It was a rare chance for all of us to sit down together for a meal. When we went back home, i shared my Peach Bacardi i bought at vivo with my family. Taste nice.

And i tried “whatever“. “Whatever” is a non-carbonated drink while “anything” is a carbonated drink.
