CCA Camp 2007 (15-16 Mar) (1 ♥comments)

This was what i blogged in my previous entry:

All thanks to those absentees, i decided to have sectional for the next practice on wednesday. While the rest will come at 1pm for practice, i shall make all the angklung players come back at 12pm to start their practice. And, we shall see how’s the attendance. It’s time for me to be mean. Really cant give way.

Managed to get 90% of the angklung players back for sectionals, after sms-ing so many smses to them the previous day. I think my mum gonna kill me for my hp bill. Sectional was ok. Managed to go through Dance Fantasy Bar 11-49. And after sectionals, ms wee came and took over the whole practice. I was so happy that she praised that the angklungs played well for that few bars. All the efforts didnt go down to drain =) Thanks to all my darlings who really cooperated with me during sectionals.

[15 March-First Day of the camp]

Daddy drove me to school, and checked in to Harmonis around 845am. People started to settled down around 915am. Then, we had our briefing for the camp, and off we go for the first program. SECTIONALS! The kulintangs stayed in Harmonis, and the angklungs had sectionals outside. I went through the balancing and the “loud-ness and softness” of the song-Dance Fantasy. We had the “rainbow method“, and the “upwards hill method“. The upwards hill method was invented by ME! Because, some parts of the song require to crescendo and then, decrescendo again. The rainbow method is a slow and smooth change in the degree of loudness, the upwards hill method is the a sharp change from soft-to-loud-to-soft volume.

Sectionals was FUN! I tried to say some jokes, and made it interesting one. The members really very nice! When it was time for everyone to play the song, i will sing “EVERYBODY..” And they will respond to me. Really love them alot. They are fun and easy-going peeps. After Sectionals, we had our mini combine with kulintangs in the room and angklungs outside the room.

After lunch, the yr2s prepared for the CCA Open House, and the yr3s had their study period at my classroom. At first, everyone was very hardworking..doing homework, revising. Around 4pm, went back to Harmonis to take my biscuits. Harmonis was crowded with the CCA Open House stuff. Looking at how hardworking the juniors were, i was very touched.

It started to rain heavily near evening, and everyone was praying that the rain would stop so that we can go to Ms Wee hse to bbq. While waiting for the rain to stop, i worked out the music notes for the theme song for this taiwan drama serial 花樣少年少女 theme song(zen me ban).

Looking at the sky, it was absolutely impossible for the rain to stop. Ms Lim and Mr J seeked permission from Mr Singh to have our indoor bbq. But GOD LOVES US! The heavy rain stopped and we made our way to Ms Wee house.

when we reached ms wee house there, Reagen was there too! I love him! This time bbq, i didnt really eat alot. 2 crabstick, one hotdog, 1 chicken wing, 2 prawn, 1 satay. All specially prepared by my darling shirley. Throughout the whole bbq, i was sitting down on a bench, and watching some outsiders playing basketball. Edith and I were laughing at the horizontally-challenged guy. Then, Edith went to take some food. While i was happily feasting upon the prawns on my plate, i saw the basketball flying towards me..at a very very fast speed! was too stunned until i couldnt do anything, but only pray that someone will try to stop it. Luckily one of the basketball guys came to the rescue…before the basketball really hit on my head hard.

went back to school and only to shower at 12am. The water was soo cold. Around 115am, i was trying real hard to get to sleep, but the insane girl beside me was laughing..WHO?

She was laughing non-stop and i was influenced and laughed together with her..

[16 March-Second Day of the camp]

had morning walk around the school track with sherlynn, ben, yi chuang, edith, junlong, cuijun, i hong, sera and shirley (sorry if i missed out anyone).

Then, we had Mac breakfast before going back to harmonis for practice again. Ms wee was late. So, i dozed off to my lala land.. When ms wee came, we went through Di TanJong Katong. Then, sunshine jl and I went off early for our NUS attachment. went back home to shower, put my bag, and met sunshine jl again and sunshine tx. The attachment was fun. We went to the Raffles Museum and the Physics Lab for the physics demonstrations.

Really enjoyed the talk and exhibits in the Raffles Museum. We really had fun. Before we left, the prof took photos of us, and posted up on the Raffles Museum blog.

After the exhibits, we went to the physics lab for the demonstrations. Alot of experiments there were the same when i visited them one year ago. After the attachment, went to westmall with my sunshines for dinner. At that time, i wasnt in a good mood, and didnt really wish to talk to people. Dinner at Mos Burger and we went arcade. Again, i was in my own world.

Let me elaborate about the PRANK…

Went to find the rest of the CCA Peeps as they were having dinner at Kopitiam. Asked them about the progress of the practice, and shir told me that she and nilam was scolded, because my angklung section. The rest joined in and said:

“Ms wee very angry with the angklung players. she went through the rainbow method again and again..scolded the players..threw duster to the two angklung players..changed cuijun to the base angklung.. the angklungs were not playing good..messy.. because i didnt conduct and teach them well…”

so i did a double confirm with MR ENG TZE KIAT whether the angklung players were scolded by ms wee. I went to look for him because he was sitting far away from shir and gang. So even if shir and gang ganged up and bluff me, tze kiat wouldnt know. So i asked Tze Kiat.

ME: TZE KIAT!! my angklung members kena scolded by ms wee is it?

Tzekiat: Ya lar.. you never teach properly. Ms wee very angry.

I took his words and went out of Kopitiam to cool down. I was really sad and angry with myself. I almost cried..and looked for my 2 other sunshines. I did some reflections and questioning-”why like that.. and how like that come?i thought i already teach them and emphasize on those that need to be emphasized..huh..ms wee really angry ar..then how?”

Junlong came and comforted me. And told me the truth of the whole story. Shirley made her explanation..

and when i told her the truth. she was “angry” and even black-listed our names. HAHA! =p GF! its just a little joke ya? don’t be angry ok? i still LOVELOVELOVE you no matter what.

THE BLACKLIST

I managed to ask ms wee about the practice, and told her about the prank. she laughed. This prank was really a BIG prank. I was soo sad when i knew that my members got scolded. wo3 hui4 xin1 tong4. When we reached school, it was very dark. We did night rehearsal, and at 2130, we declared- CAMP-FREE!

smsed to those who pranked me: “hey my darling, thanks for giving me a wonderful, exciting, meaningful and unforgettable evening.you gave me heart attack! but, i still love you. take care”. It was an unplanned prank-according to one of the pranksters. They were feeling bored and wanted to find something to do. And fortunately or unfortunately, i was the victim for them to target.
