Humans celebrate Valentine’s day, so do Dogs. i just watched the news that dogs also celebrate Valentine’s day! Sounds cool right? when you have two dogs dating together, wearing those nice nice little clothes. Some dogs prefer to get married on this special day in Hong Kong!

A little bit of history about this special day- Valentine’s Day.

Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday? Today, the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred.

One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men — his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine’s actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.

Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured.

According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first ‘valentine’ greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl — who may have been his jailor’s daughter — who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed ‘From your Valentine,’ an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It’s no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France.

Excited because tml is V-day? hmmx.. sort of! Cause me and shirley, the two section leaders gonna give all the cca peeps small V-day present! just a small little gift la. cause its the thought that counts, right? This is the 1st time celebrating V-day with my girlfriends! While others are busying dating, we are busying celebrating among ourselves.

Anyway, today, got back my chemistry paper. I got B! Predicted to get that kind of results. Now, left physics, which i dont think i will get A for it. Never mind, i shall work hard and strive best for MYE!

After school, daddy drove me back home, changed and went to JP to meet tx,tk,jl and emily. helped tx to look for pendant for her gf vday present. we continued to shop around JP. helped jl to look for his cny clothes.

Tml is valentine’s day! Guys, have you prepared the present for your loved ones? No idea of what to buy? I’ve sought opinions from my friends, by emailing them a mini research, to see what they like and what they dont like. Consolidated the results. So, check out what girls nowadays like and dont like.
