Music is not just about sound; it is about achievement in a larger human sense.. Beyond all the pretty notes, we want creative engagement and communication from music, we want music to be a bridge to another personality. Otherwise, we might as well feed Chopin scores into a computer.

It’s not about knowing the ABC on the music score. So, what if you know how to read those ABC when you cant play out the feeling of the song? So, dont try to act arrogant and show off and say that “Hey! i know how to read the ABC!”. 

Playing and mastering any instruments- regardless whether they are instruments from the kulintang section or angklung section, is not a skill you can learn in a day. It’s not like you learn how to use the mallets and hit on the notes, and therefore, you are brilliant! Some people may not be as fortunate as you to have music background. But, normally, the people who dont have music background are the ones who work extremely hard and strive for the best. I hope you will take pride on what you are assigned to play-angklungs or kulintangs. Cause afterall, we are still working towards the same goal.

Talking about music, i today became the live radio for my sunshines. During lunch, kept singing for them. (eh.. you guys never get choked right? =P ) Emily sunshine was feeling sad.what happened to her? really wish to help her.

During CCA practice today, we managed to service-maintenance the instruments. Worms are growing, and the wooden angklungs have some sandy sandy stuff on it.(dont really know what is it). Everyone was getting goosebumps and started to scratch our skin. Despite having this infectious “itchy” disease, we managed to concentrate on our practice, and finally, we learnt the whole song-Dance Fantasy.

After CCA practice, was making announcement to the members. Teachers create a great impact on the students. I started to talk like Ms Chan. The way i talk, the way i illustrate the examples. Oh My God! This is addictive! =)

Have you heard the news? Stefanie Sun was threatened!

Stefanie Sun went to Egypt for her music video recording. But unfortunately, she was threatened by the local collaborators. During the production of the music video, the landlord kept asking for more money, and poor Stef was forced to NT$20+ million. The manager of Stefanie Sun managed to sneak out and report this case to the Egypt-Singapore Ambassy, and the whole production team cancelled the incomplete shooting itinery and will be arriving in Taiwan tomorrow(28 Feb).

For those who didnt know, 7 years back(1989, July 16). During Stefanie’s autograph signature session in Taiwan- TaoYuan, a guy rushed forward and claimed to kidnap Stefanie. But luckily, the guy was arrested by the police, leaving Stefanie in a shock!

I guess, Stefanie Sun now will have a hard time. Hope she can stay strong! There are many fans out there supporting her!

燕姿,加油!

sounds familiar? its the 2nd piece we will be playing for our SYF competition. It’s a combination of the song “Lord of the dance” and another song. On friday, we practised our own parts. For the whole practice, we were doing sectionals. This song is challenging when there’s alot of running notes. the marimba, bells and melody are going crazy. But, surely, it will be a pleasant song for the judges to anticipate.

we had our self-practice from 9-12pm. Went around the room to test individual players. They really have a good memory. They managed to memorise the notes. *applause* yin whee suggested to have cca CAMP during the march holidays! :excited: It will be fun to spend the 3D2N with them. For the camp, we will be practising intensively for SYF, and also we will have study period during the camp. So that we will not neglect our studies. During break, sher and i were talking and playing on the thomthom/tomtom.  We were happily hitting the surface and creating some music.

After practice, went JP to buy bookmark. Cravings for the cheesy hotdog! Then, went to Gift-A-Name to check out the price of the flower my sunshines tx and jl bought during V-day! The price 是 scary 人的咯! Again, thanks alot guys!

My 4th uncle with his 2 sons came to my house. It’s been a very long time we see each other. Let me recall. The last time i met them was in Malaysia, when i was still studying in primary school. My cousins have grown up. Impression of them almost faded, but thank God for this opportunity to reunite with them.

We ordered pizza. 4 BIG Pizza for like only 10 people. 8 adults, 2 children? Then in the end, i still have pizza left! 1 and a half big pizza. Think for tml’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, i will be munching that colourful bread. I will die man!

Then, we lao1 yu sheng. This was my 2nd time lao-ing that yu sheng.

1, 2, 3..HUAT AR!

Then my two cousins went to my room. one went to sleep, the younger one drew something for me! so sweet!  

Then, he had nothing to do. so, he started to find some new thing- like drawing on my whiteboard.

Then, i went to the kitchen to get something. When i came back, i saw my “chao ta” flower.

My uncle has 40 plus chickens at his farm, 4 hamsters, and many animals. �??怖hor? Then, i made the younger cousin to draw one of the chickens in the farm.

They should come Singapore more often! my house door will be open for them!
